Who We Are
Upward Counseling Center (UCC) is a team of passionate mental health clinicians committed to offering high-quality and affordable professional mental health services. Our mission is to raise awareness about mental health and to help individuals achieve personal wholeness and build healthy families.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the support from our donors enables us to bring hope and healing to those in need, regardless of their background, financial situation, or social status

We provide individuals, couples, and family therapy through our licensed psychotherapists

Our clinicians use evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). We use research-validated tools to assess progress in every session.
We accept several major insurance plans and offer a sliding scale fee schedule to ensure our quality services are accessible to everyone.

In addition to English, our clinicians are fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
Our diverse backgrounds and professional training enable us to offer culturally sensitive services. We also offer spiritual intervention upon request.
To meet the growing demand for mental health services, we collaborate with local churches to train and organize volunteers who provide culturally and socially tailored mental health support within their communities. An example of this collaborative effort is the Mental Health Ministry developed at Home of Christ Church in Cupertino.
